The first 8 days in May have been amazing. I kicked off May, completing my first half-marathon and then running home afterward. What better way to start off a month with just over 19 miles! I'm well on my way to a record mileage month, and have actually been able to maintain my schedule for the first 8 days. I hope to continue the trend this week.
Yesterday I decided to continue with my "video taping while running" skills. I ran the Olentangy Trail that runs along the Olentangy River from north of Columbus through downtown. The entire trail is paved, but there is a shoulder to the trail that you can run on. Basically a single track dirt path. There are some spots that branch from the paved path and are truly a trail. This is definitely the best part of the Olentangy Trail. The winds yesterday were nearly steady at 20-25 mph, so there's a lot of wind in some parts of the video. Other than that, I think the recording went well:
I was very disappointed in your video. No puking? No cursing? No agony after 22 miles at an 8:30 pace? Ha ha. Good video - looks like a nice trail for a long run.
ReplyDeleteBrian!! Omgosh, I used to run this trail when I went to OSU!! You have no idea how happy it makes me to see you running it on video, I got so many memories looking at this!! Wow, I love it! These running videos of yours are my favorite!! I feel so lucky we get to share the run together through these vids!! :D keep them coming!
